Birthday Experience #5

There was another grandkid birthday last week. This grandson LOVES Lego as much as his big brother does, so he wanted to do the same thing his big brother did for his birthday experience. He wanted to go to the Bricks and Minifigs store!

First we went to his favorite place for dinner. That's a place called Waffle Love. As the picture shows below, it's a place with lots of  very yummy liege waffles with wonderful toppings of all sorts. The funny thing is, his favorite waffle is just the plain waffle and syrup. They did put a candle in it for him which was fun.

Then it was 0ff to the Bricks and Minifigs store. He loved looking at everything and rummaging through the many bins of loose Legos they have there. There is also an awesome scene with a train that goes around a track thru many different "Lego Lands" along the track. There is a button for the kids to push that makes the train go. He loved that! They also sell some new Lego sets, so we gave him a budget and let him pick one out.

This grandson is a little shy and wanted his dad to come too, but of course that was fine with us. We want these activities to be fun for them! Each grandkid is his or her own person and we want to celebrate with them in a way that is most comfortable for them. The only down side to this activity is that grandma forgot to take photos! Duh! Here I am trying to post a blog each week and I forgot to take pictures! Next time.....
