Handwritten Today, Treasured Keepsake Tomorrow!
One of the reasons I started this blog was to help people remember to write to their kids and grandkids. And when I say write, I mean actually hand write to them! With all of our technology, I think it's pretty easy to stay in touch, but what about once we're gone? What will we have left behind?
My mom died about 2 1/2 years ago and my father (my biological father, not my dad) died about 1 1/2 years ago. I don't have a lot of things with their handwriting on it, but when I come across something with their handwriting, it always stops me in my tracks and makes me smile. As you can see from the photo above, they both had very distinct handwriting. I now treasure anything I find with their handwriting on it!
So, take the time to write a note, a letter, a thought, anything in your own handwriting for each of your kids and grandkids. It doesn't have to be profound, or complicated! Just write something! We have no idea when our time is "up!" Do it now! Someday someone will be really glad that you did!
Have a great week....
