Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Several years ago my husband and I decided that we were done with Halloween at home since our kids are all grown up. So, each year we find somewhere else to be that night. This year we decided to hang out with our youngest grandkid and go Trick or Treating with her. It turned out to be a really fun night!

My son and his wife and daughter live in an area that celebrates Halloween big time! So, we were in for a "treat" going along with them.

First, we went to an area of several houses that are referred to as Halloween Hill. Each of the houses is decorated to the nines! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures there. It was so cool! Especially the house decorated in Alice in Wonderland!

The next place we went was called "the Island" where the wealthier people live. There were about 20 houses that coordinated a Barbie Land where each house was dedicated to a different Barbie house. This included Astronaut Barbie, Barbie's Pet Shop, etc. It was super fun.

I finally realized I needed to start taking pictures! This house was done up with the coolest Pirate motif. Our granddaughter was dressed as a girl pirate so she loved this one!

The last place we checked out was the Hogwarts House. This one was totally amazing! All around this very large house, there were tons of scenes from the Harry Potter books. We felt like we were at an amusement park it was so professionally done!

There were so many people around too! I have never seen so many people all in one place on Halloween in my life! But it was really fun!

So, even though my husband and I didn't so much as buy a bag of candy, we still had an amazing Halloween. Spending time with our kids and grandkids always makes every holiday super fun!

The holidays are officially here! Time to make some fun plans to share the fun with your grandkids whether they live close by or far away! And, remember to take pictures!!!
