Postcard Follow up
While we were on our cruise to Alaska, we had a great time looking for fun postcards to send to our grandkids. We bought some at our first stop in Skagway. That night I filled them out and addressed them (fortunately I remembered to bring addresses). The next day we were in Juneau and we found the post office inside a cute little stationary shop. So, they were on their way.
It took about a week for my grandkids to get them. My oldest son said they were excited to get them. They didn't even know postcards were a thing! So that was pretty fun!
My second oldest son said he was probably more excited about them than the kids were. But his son did ask what a postcard is. So, if nothing else, it was a learning experience for my grandkids. They learned about postcards!
Even though my youngest granddaughter was on the cruise with us, I sent her a card telling her how much we loved being on the Disney Wonder with her. My son sent me a cute video of her with the card thanking us for it.
The results are pretty much what I expected. I figured the older grandkids would appreciate it more than the younger ones did. Not sure yet if this will be a new habit for me when we travel. But it was fun to do, so I will probably do it again.
