One way to build your relationship with your grandkids is to support them in their hobbies or interests. Actions often do speak louder than words so showing up to your grandkid's concerts, recitals, sports events, etc is a great way to show them how much they mean to you!

This week we have 2 concerts to go to. One band, one choir. Sometimes it can be a challenge to listen to 13 & 14 year olds sing or play an instrument! But you're not there for you! You're there for them!! And if it's something they continue doing, you'll enjoy seeing the change as they get better and better at it.

I know this seems pretty obvious, but we're all busy and it may seem a simple thing to miss events. When you show up, it truly shows your grandkids that they are a priority in your life!

If a grandkid has an interest in something, learn about it yourself so you can talk to them about it. It's pretty easy to look up anything on Google. Sometimes it can be hard to find things to talk about with your grandkids, especially the teens & tweens. Knowing more about what they love gives you the perfect thing to talk about. And you're more likely to get more than a yes or no answer. They are much more likely to talk about something that interests them. If it's something you can turn into an activity with your grandkid, all the better!

Have you done anything with your grandkids to show them you support their hobbies or interests? If so, share!
