What I Wish I had Done!

What I Wish I had Done!

I have been a grandma going on 16 years. And of course I love it! But there are some things I wished I done before I even thought about being a grandma. I hope this advice will help anyone who isn't a grandparent yet.

Here it is.....

Keep your baby stuff! I know that once you know you won't be having any more babies, you just want to get all that baby stuff out of your house. But, think before you do! You will be so glad later!!

Here's list of the types of things you may want to keep for when you become a grandparent:

Crib or Pack & Play (so nice to have a safe place for baby to sleep)
Highchair or Booster Seat
Bouncer and/or Swing
Toys (for all different ages)
Kid's Books (again, some for all ages)
Sippy Cups
Bottles
Baby Blankets
Stroller
Car Seat (make sure it's up to date with current requirements)

I know that storage space can be an issue, but many of these items can be costly, so if you can find a place to store them, when the new grandbaby comes along, you'll be glad you kept those things! They will make it so much easier for the parents to feel comfortable spending time at your home. They won't have to cut visits short because there's no place for the baby to sleep, or nothing to entertain baby. And, it will make babysitting baby much easier for you.

So, think before your throw!
